Tradesie Privacy Policy
Effective 29 August 2026
The short version: your trades live on your phone, not on our servers. Our servers keep only three things about you: who you are (your Google sign-in), the session token that maintains your brokerage connection, and your subscription status. We run no ads, no analytics, and we do not sell data.
Who we are
Tradesie is a day-trade tracking app for Android. This policy covers the app and its companion service at api.tradesie.app. Contact: [email protected].
What stays on your device
All of your trading data — imported executions, matched trades, profit and loss, notes, and manual entries — is stored in the app's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to Tradesie's servers, so this data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself.
Your account
You sign in with your Google account. We receive and use your Google account identifier and email address solely to identify your account. We do not use them for marketing and we do not share them.
What our servers store
- Brokerage session token — when you link a brokerage, SnapTrade (our brokerage-connectivity provider) issues a session token that maintains your connection. That token is held server-side, encrypted with Google Cloud KMS, and is never sent to your device. We never see or store your brokerage username or password — you enter those only in SnapTrade's secure connection flow, and the connection is read-only.
- Subscription state — whether you have an active subscription, its product id, its expiry, and the Google Play purchase token that proves it. Google processes all payments; we never see your payment card details.
Brokerage data in transit
When the app syncs, your brokerage account list and transaction history flow from SnapTrade, through Tradesie's server, to your device. The server relays this data and does not retain it.
Services we rely on
- SnapTrade — brokerage connectivity. Your brokerage login happens in SnapTrade's own connection flow; see SnapTrade's privacy policy.
- Google — sign-in (Firebase Authentication), subscription billing (Google Play), and app-integrity checks (Play Integrity). Governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Google Cloud — Tradesie's server infrastructure.
Deleting your data
- Brokerage connection — use Disconnect in the app's Accounts tab. This deletes your SnapTrade user and its server-held session token, and removes synced data from your device.
- On-device data — use the app's wipe option, or uninstall the app; with backups disabled, uninstalling removes everything local.
- Everything else — email [email protected] from your sign-in address to request deletion of your account records (sign-in identity and subscription records).
- Automatically — if your subscription lapses, the server deletes your brokerage connection after roughly 35 days. Data already on your device stays on your device.
Retention
On-device data stays until you delete it. The server-held session token lives until you disconnect (or the automatic post-lapse cleanup deletes it). Subscription records are retained while relevant for billing integrity.
Security
Brokerage session tokens are encrypted at rest with Google Cloud KMS and never leave the server. All traffic uses TLS. The brokerage connection is read-only — Tradesie cannot place trades or move money, and never has your brokerage password.
